One of the lead stars of Ahsoka is reflecting on Ray Stevenson's unfortunate passing earlier this year. The Star Wars actor stated that they are mourning the Thor: Ragnarok star's death but are also grateful they got to spend time with him in one of his final projects.

The Star Wars community was left in disbelief and sorrow when news broke of Ray Stevenson's passing at the age of 58. His hospitalization on the set of a new film in Italy in May 2023 marked the beginning of this tragic turn of events. Ray Stevenson not only portrayed the character Baylan Skoll in Ahsoka but also lent his voice to various roles, including Gar Saxon in Star Wars Rebels. So it's no surprise that fans were devastated to learn about his sudden death.

Natasha Liu Bordizzo is one of Stevenson's co-stars in Ahsoka and although their characters don't have any screentime together just yet, she admitted in a recent issue of SFX magazine that she was still mourning the loss. In addition to that, she pointed out that it was a great pleasure working with Stevenson (via The Direct).

"[His personality] really comes through in the character, who’s really intriguing, complex and not what you expect. I obviously feel really sad but grateful that we got to spend that whole year with him last year, creating so many memories and shooting such amazing stuff," Bordizzo said.

Bordizzo also revealed that her character Sabine Wren will eventually get to meet Baylan Skoll, and there is a huge chance we'll finally see their confrontation in Ahsoka Episode 4. With that in mind, we're looking forward to seeing more of Stevenson in the Disney+ series.

The new series also made sure fans honored Stevenson during its two-episode premiere. In the first episode, Ahsoka paid tribute to the Vikings actor, giving the premiere an exciting yet heartbreaking conclusion.
