Fans will again see Yor in action in the upcoming Spy x Family Season 2 Episode 9, titled The Hand That Connects to the Future. After her intense fights against the assassins in the previous episode, almost seeing herself defeated, the Thorn Princess returns to her senses and faces the sword-wielding enemy. But the battle isn’t over yet, as the anime’s new stills for the latest episode show Yor continuing the fight on the cruise as she puts everything on the line to save Olka and her child.
The first Spy x Family Season 2 Episode 9 still features the swordsman Yor had difficulty fighting in the previous episode. But after she gets to her feet again to face him, she may finally put him down this time. A jolly-looking Anya is seen as she continuously enjoys the cruise with her father, Loid. Later, Anya appears wearing sunglasses and a scarf wrapped around her head and talking to one of the ship’s crew.
A solo still of the informant is revealed, and he may be the final foe Yor is about to face. An angry-looking Yor is then seen, and she’s once again ready to fight while holding her stiletto-type weapon. For the last still, Loid looks mad and surprised. Though the preview doesn’t reveal what he’s looking at, could it be possible that he has caught Yor fighting as they’re on the same cruise?

Alternatively, in the short Spy x Family Season 2 Episode 9 trailer, a bomb appears on the ship while a crew member starts walking. Anya seems to be hiding behind the pillar as she catches her breath while a glimpse of Loid, the swordsman, and Yor’s weapon play.

What to expect from Spy x Family Season 2 Episode 9?
Based on Tatsuya Endo’s manga of the same name, Spy x Family started its serialization in March 2019 and now has 12 tankobon volumes. Licensed in North America by Viz Media, it’s one of the best-selling manga series today, with over 31 million copies in circulation. Hence, it’s no surprise that it has been adapted into anime by Wit Studio and CloverWorks, with its first season releasing in April 2022 and the second season starting in October 2023.
Now, Spy x Family Season 2 Episode 9 is coming up. Here, fans can expect to see the conclusion of Yor’s fight against the assassins, including the hard-to-defeat swordsman. However, as the informant has yet to come out from hiding, Olka and her child are not yet safe, and this guy may still have some plans up his sleeve.
The trailer also hints that there’s a bomb on the ship, and York and her boss, Matthew, may do everything to find it. But knowing Anya has psychic powers, she may come in handy this time and help her mom deactivate the bomb without her knowing.
Spy x Family Season 2 Episode 9 will be released on Saturday, December 2. As things are getting pretty intense on the ship for Yor, can she finally help Olka and her child escape?
