While anime fans are still waiting for Spy x Family Season 2 to premiere this October, the team behind the popular anime franchise is already hyping up the upcoming Spy x Family CODE: White anime movie that's scheduled to premiere in Japan on December 22. Today, Spy x Family revealed a new teaser visual loaded with clues about the upcoming anime film, and it was also announced that a trailer is scheduled to drop on June 26, at 0:00 JST.
The new visual, illustrated by chief animation director Kyoji Asano, features the Forger family looking ready for action. The tagline of the visual reads, "Saving the world on an exciting family trip—!".
Spy x Family CODE: White was officially announced on December 18, 2022, alongside Season 2. According to the announcement, the movie would be an original story supervised by Tatsuya Endo, who will also be in charge of the character designs. Last March, an official key visual featuring the Forger family was unveiled, along with the release date: December 22, 2023.
Both the Spy x Family CODE: White movie and the TV anime series are produced by WIT Studio and CloverWorks, with Season 2 scheduled to premiere in October 2023.
Crunchyroll aired Season 1 of Spy x Family as it aired in Japan last year, and describes it as such:
World peace is at stake and secret agent Twilight must undergo his most difficult mission yet—pretend to be a family man.
