The first Spy x Family movie is about to hit the big screen in less than a month. Hence, its studios, Wit Studio and Cloverworks, are now hard at work to promote the anime film. After releasing the first character teaser featuring Loid Forger, the next preview shows the Forger family matriarch, Yor, as she gets in action, unleashing her secret identity as Thorn Princess. The preview begins with Yor holding her signature golden stiletto-type weapon. However, when she sees Loid with another woman, she can’t help but hold her breath and cringe when she remembers that scene at home. Later, the enemies appear and take Anya in one hand, threatening to kill the young protagonist. With everything happening and the nature of their work, Yor and Loid ask if it’s the extent of having a family together.
They also start to doubt themselves, wondering if they can save their family and the world from crisis. But as they realize it isn’t the right time to give up, Yor starts to fight.
What is Spy x Family Code: White about?
Spy x Family Code: White features an original story by the manga’s creator, Tatsuya Endo himself. Directed by Takashi Katirigi with a screenplay by Ichiro Okouchi, the film follows the story of the pretend family of Loid and Yor as they continue living their double lives as a spy and an assassin, respectively. The pretend couple adopts a child, Anya, who possesses telepathic ability without their knowing. Despite hiding their secrets, she knows her mom and dad’s real identities.
In the movie, when she joins a school competition, Loid asks Anya to make Melemele, a traditional sweet from Frigis and the principal’s favorite. Loid uses this as a chance to travel to Frigis to continue his mission, advance in the game, and have the authentic taste of Melemele. However, Yor gets jealous after seeing Loid with another woman, making her think of their pretend family.
But the problem doesn’t just end there. While wandering around, Anya finds a mysterious box that contains chocolate. Though she has no plans to eat it, it goes straight to her mouth when the owner’s arrival surprises her, leaving her shocked. Surprisingly, a big problem begins as this chocolate holds a secret that threatens world peace.

After receiving an order to be replaced in Operation Strix, Loid decides to help Anya win a cooking competition at Eden Academy by making the principal's favorite meal in order to prevent his replacement. The Forgers decide to travel to the meal's origin region, where they set off a chain of actions that could potentially put the world's peace at risk.
Spy x Family Code: White will be released in Japan on December 22, 2023. International fans can see it in 2024, and it will be available in English and Japanese dubbed with English subtitles in North America and select theaters worldwide. With a new story to tell, the franchise's anime and manga fans need to see this movie.
