Solo Leveling, one of the most highly-anticipated series scheduled to premiere in January 2024, but fans will be able to watch the first two episodes when it hits theaters in December. Adapted from the web comic series published on Tappytoon of the same title by DUBU (REDICE Studio), Chugong and h-goon, Solo Leveling features a world of "hunters", warriors with powerful abilities that battle monsters, and its plot centers on one low-level hunter named Jin-woo Sung, who finds himself struggling to survive with his desperate need of money and his lack of power.
A-1 Pictures, the animation studio behind popular titles such as Mashle: Magic And Muscles, Lycoris Recoil, Sword Art Online, and Kaguya-Sama: Love is War, is in charge of the animation for Solo Leveling anime, Shunsuke Nakashige as the director. Noboru Kimura is in charge of the screenplay while Tomoko Sudo is working on the character designs and Hirotaka Tokuda on the monster designs.
Solo Leveling is heading to theaters
Crunchyroll has announced the world premiere of the first two episodes of Solo Leveling anime in 3 European countries this December. Here are the theater locations for the three countries:
France (Paris – Le Grand Rex – December 12)
Germany (Berlin – Colosseum – December 12)
United Kingdom (London – Cineworld Leicester Square – December 13)
The world premiere of the first two episodes of Solo Leveling anime will screen in Tokyo, Japan and Seoul, South Korea on December 10, followed by a screening in Los Angeles on December 14.
What is Solo Leveling about?
Yen Press, the publisher of the English version of Solo Leveling series, is planning to release Volume 8 of the comic on January 21, 2021, and the company shared a plot description for the series:
Known as the the Weakest Hunter of All Mankind, E-rank hunter Jinwoo Sung’s contribution to raids amounts to trying not to get killed. Unfortunately, between his mother’s hospital bills, his sister’s tuition, and his own lack of job prospects, he has no choice but to continue to put his life on the line. So when an opportunity arises for a bigger payout, he takes it…only to come face-to-face with a being whose power outranks anything he’s ever seen! With the party leader missing an arm and the only healer a quivering mess, can Jinwoo somehow find them a way out?
