It seems like Secret Invasion has a major revelation at the end of every episode and this week was no different. Episode 4 had a lot of huge shockers as one character is brought back to life while another meets their shocking end. However, the most shocking thing about Beloved is the confirmation that a major player is actually a Skrull, and that they have been a Skrull for some time now, if we're to believe Kevin Feige.

WARNING: The following contains Secret Invasion Episode 4 spoilers, proceed with caution!

In Secret Invasion Episode 4, it was revealed that G'iah had turned herself into a Super Skrull with the regenerative power of the Extremis DNA. When she meets up with Talos, he finally tells her of his plans to convince President Ritson to help them defeat Gravik's rebels but she isn't impressed.

Meanwhile, Priscilla meets up with her contact who is connected to Gravik and the contact is revealed to be James Rhodes. Rhodey orders her to kill Nick Fury, unaware that Fury is listening to their conversation. But why is Rhodey so bent on getting rid of Fury? As it turns out, Rhodey is actually a Skrull in disguise (and a female Skrull to boot).

But how long has Rhodey been a Skrull? Kevin Feige told Marvel.com that it's been part of the plan for a long time and Don Cheadle was eager to play a Skrull as well.

"We needed to have a character that one would not expect to be a Skrull," Feige said. "Don was on board for this reveal of playing and revealing another side of Rhodey and revealing that, yeah, Rhodey has been a Skrull."

He went on to reveal that Cheadle knew about the plot twist early on.

"It was very early days when we pitched this concept to Don, and he very much was into it and into being able to play with different sides of Rhodey that we haven't seen before," Feige said.

This is an interesting reveal considering that people have speculated about Rhodey being a Skrull since he fired Fury in the second episode of Secret Invasion. But is it possible that he had been a Skrull long before that? Perhaps the truth will be revealed next week.

Secret Invasion Episode 4 is now streaming on Disney+.
