Two new soldiers are reporting for duty in Romelia War Chronicle. The fantasy anime, which is currently broadcasting in Japan as part of the fall 2026 season, has revealed two additional cast members: Taiten Kusunoki will voice Gallios and Kazuyuki Okitsu will voice Gamine. The production team unveiled both roles through the anime's official channels, keeping the spotlight on the growing ranks of Romelia's wartime forces.

The announcement arrived alongside a new character visual showing Gallios and Gamine together, marking the latest expansion of the series' ensemble as the broadcast continues. The reveal follows the September announcement that added 14 more performers to the cast, signaling that Romelia's campaign is only getting more crowded.

Taiten Kusunoki takes on the role of Gallios. Kusunoki is known to anime audiences as Leonard Burns in Fire Force, the stoic captain of Special Fire Force Company 1, and has also voiced Rude in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children and Ibuki in Beastars. Gallios joins the fray as Romelia's army presses its campaign across the kingdom.

Kazuyuki Okitsu joins the series as Gamine. Okitsu is best known for voicing Jonathan Joestar in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and has played Fat Gum in My Hero Academia, Serpico in Berserk and Hatori Sohma in Fruits Basket. His casting adds another veteran performer to the two-cour production.

The new additions join a main cast led by Yuna Nemoto as Romelia von Graham, with Jin Ogasawara as Al, Tomohiro Ono as Ray, Yuya Hirose as Henri, Sayaka Senbongi as Elisabeth and Mariya Ise as Ekaterina. The series is directed by Hiroshi Shirai at studio Atra, with series composition by Aya Satsuki, character designs by Yoshiko Saito and Yuta Otaka, and music by KOHTA YAMAMOTO.

Romelia War Chronicle is currently broadcasting in Japan and streams on Crunchyroll as part of its fall 2026 simulcast lineup.

What is Romelia War Chronicle about?

The anime adapts Ryo Ariyama's action fantasy light novel series Romelia Senki, which began as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro in August 2019 before Shogakukan published it in print under its Gagaga Books imprint. Six main volumes and two side-story volumes have been released in Japan. The series also inspired a manga adaptation illustrated by Ryo Kamito, serialized on Mag Garden's MAGCOMI platform, with Seven Seas Entertainment publishing the manga in English.

The story picks up after the Demon King's defeat. With her fiance Prince Henri breaking off their engagement, Countess Romelia returns to a homeland still threatened by the Demon King's remaining forces. Determined to rebuild ruined towns and restore a struggling kingdom, she vows to raise an army of her own as new conflicts arise.
