Grand Theft Auto 6 is expected to release for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, but it may skip out on PC when it launches. Although GTA 6 hasn't officially been revealed yet, it's already one of the most highly-anticipated games of all time, and fans have been trying to find out anything about the game for years now. GTA 6 did leak last year, and various files have been circulating online, giving us some idea of what the developers at Rockstar have been working on, but fans are still craving to see the full picture of this massive game.

Rockstar's last new game, Red Dead Redemption 2, was released 5 years ago today, and fans are hoping that GTA 6 will be revealed this year, but despite the rumors about the game's first teaser trailer, it's unclear if Rockstar actually has plans to release one soon.

Now, one of the latest rumors comes from a reliable insider, Tez2, who posted on the GTA Forums (via Dexerto) responding to users discussing the eventual PC launch of the next Grand Theft Auto game. Tez2 said that just one year ago, he would have been optimistic for the game to launch on PC the same day it releases on consoles, but things have changed. According to Tez2, GTA 6 on PC is more buggy than the console versions and Rockstar is trying to prevent a chaotic PC release like The Last of Us Part 1 and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. He claims that the PC version of GTA 6 won't launch until at least a few months after it's released on consoles.

"Internally, the PC version is more buggy than the console versions. Rockstar wouldn't want to end up with a Star Wars Jedi Survivor or The Last of Us Part I PC situation for the most anticipated game," explained Tez2 on the post.

"I've heard from various sources that the devs expect VI PC release to happen after citing more time needed," he said. "Hopefully, it's a delay of a few months".

This shouldn't surprise fans who are familiar with Rockstar's history of releasing games. Grand Theft Auto V was released on PC about a year and a half after the game was released and 5 months after it launched for PS4 and Xbox One. Red Dead Redemption 2 was released on the PC a year after its console version. Note that this is just a rumor, so we'll have to wait for Rockstar's confirmation about GTA 6's PC launch. Hopefully, fans won't have to wait too long for an official GTA 6 reveal.
