Netflix and tvN have been busy dropping new previews for their upcoming K-drama, Queen of Tears, one after another. After releasing the official trailer to show how Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won will rekindle their romance, new stills give a glimpse of the couple’s relationship with their in-laws. By the looks of it, their relatives by marriage will add pressure to their already problematic romance.

Kwak Dong-yeon joins Queen of Tears as Ji-won’s brother, who will make life more difficult for Soo-hyun. Being Ji-won's younger brother, Dong-yeon has no voice in the family and is often overshadowed by his sister. Now that Soo-hyun has become his sibling’s husband, fans must see what relationship these two will have. But one thing is for sure: they have something in common, which is being outshined by Ji-won.

Jang Yoon-joo is Soo-hyun’s sister, who sides with Ji-won instead of her brother. After Soo-hyun marries Ji-won, his family gets all the benefits, especially Yoon-joo. As a mom who works at a hair salon to support her husband and son abroad, she needs all the help she can get from Ji-won. Hence, she wants Soo-hyun to stay married to Ji-won no matter what happens.

After introducing their siblings, the new Queen of Tears preview also presents Ji-won’s mom, Na Young-hee. Coming from a rich family, Sun-hwa is not fond of Soo-hyun and doesn’t even like the guy to be her daughter’s husband. However, despite the several guys she has introduced to Ji-won to be her spouse, she chooses Soo-hyun. Hence, after Ji-won disobeys her mom, Sun-hwa now favors Dong-yeon more.

Unlike Na, Soo-hyun’s mother, Hwang Young-hee loves her son and Ji-won. She’s the complete opposite of Na and shows great affection for her daughter-in-law. She even treats her as her own child, giving Ji-won no problem at all with her husband's family.
