Fans are already expressing their excitement over the new K-drama Queen of Tears. Aside from marking the return of Kim Soo-hyun on TV after the 2021 series One Ordinary Day, it’s also his reunion project with the writer Park Ji-eun after working together in the big hit Crash Landing on You. And for the first time, viewers are about to see him working with Kim Ji-won. With their first project together, Soo-hyun reveals what it’s like working with Ji-won.

In an interview released by tvN via Naver and translated by Soompi, the 36-year-old, who’s one of the highest-paid actors in South Korea, has nothing but good words for his on-screen partner. He finds Ji-won as a “good-natured” woman who always reacts positively to his jokes. Talking about their collaboration, he reveals that her reactions vary depending on the effort he put into the scenes.

“She is very focused and genuinely listening to what I’m saying,” he said.

Soo-hyun also talked about Queen of Tears, saying he feels both honored and burdened to be offered a project like this. But despite the tremendous charm he has to give to this show, he promises to portray his role as an ideal, sweet, and loving husband.
