While players eagerly await the arrival of GTA 6’s reveal trailer, some brand-new evidence has surfaced on the internet, claiming that Rockstar Games has scrapped plans for a GTA 5 story DLC, along with Bully 2. It’s time the developers finally reveal something regarding the upcoming GTA game since fans are finding creative ways to keep themselves busy in the meantime.

Spotted by the VGC, the latest GTA news was revealed from the leak of a database file for GTA 5, which is being deeply searched by the community. As per the Twitter user @billsyliamgta, who has credited GTA dataminers, this file consists of references to the unreleased Bully 2. For those who don’t know, Bully is another popular Rockstar game about a juvenile delinquent student called James “Jimmy” Hopkins.

Many fans have been asking the developers for a long time to create a sequel for the game, which was in development at some point at the company’s New England studio in the late 2000s. Although Bully 2 was clearly never released, a few of its plans were implemented in other Rockstar games, including Red Dead Redemption 2.

@billsyliamgta claims that there is a reference to Grand Theft Auto 5’s playable character Trevor with a jetpack, suggesting that story mode DLC was used in GTA Online. Back in 2018, the developers revealed GTA Online’s Doomsday Heist missions as well as the Thruster, a jetpack that, to this day, remains exclusive to the multiplayer mode. Unfortunately, GTA 5 never received significant story DLC, even though fans really tried.

Instead, Rockstar Games diverted their attention to GTA Online, which is still going strong even ten years after GTA 5’s release. In the meantime, the Twitter user @GlowDevs shared a reference to CNC, which might be related to the Cops ‘n’ Crooks mode that was initially allegedly intended for GTA Online but was scrapped after George Floyd’s murder by a police officer in 2020.

However, these leaks only mention past content, and since Rockstar Games is now focusing on GTA 6, there’s a high chance we might never see them come to life. However, that doesn’t stop GTA and Bully fans from thinking about what might have happened if the developers had decided to release GTA 5’s story mode DLC, along with Bully 2. Nevertheless, as of right now, we would only like to keep our attention on the GTA 6 trailer, which comes out in early December.
