The filming for Outer Banks Season 4 officially wrapped up in June, and the Pogues are now on their way back for more action and adventure as the treasure hunt continues. Netflix is gearing up for the series’ much-anticipated return, with many expecting it to be released later this year. Indeed, a new Outer Banks commercial teases that Season 4’s release will finally happen in Fall 2024.
You can watch the Outer Banks Season 4 promo below:
Written and directed by Jonathan Daviss himself, who plays Pope in the series, the Outer Banks commercial begins with Chase Stokes asking Pope about his line. As the director, Daviss instructs Stokes to look at the camera, not at him. Stokes then greets the OBX audience and introduces the newest store in The Cut, Kildare Island and Surfboard Co., promising to give everyone “a good time all the time!”
Of course, this promo would only be complete with Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, and Carlacia Grant. Rudy Pankow later appears, promoting Kildare Island as a one-stop shop for everyone’s island essentials. Patrons can avail themselves of T-shirts, boots, bucket hats, live bait, kayak rentals, and fishing nets.
Daviss then takes the screen to boast about how they treat their customers like gold at their shop. Stokes reveals that they’re also customizing surfboards made by Bailey herself. He invites everyone to visit their shop, saying it’s “built by Pogues for Pogues.” Pankow also reminds viewers that they can book a scuba and surf tour with him.
“No kooks allowed. I cut you,” Grant warns. Located on the old Maybank property, the commercial teases the Kildare Island will come this fall.

What is Outer Banks Season 4 about?
Outer Banks Season 4 will see the Pogues begin the hunt for Blackbeard’s gold. The third season finale featured a man with a map from 1718 containing information about Edward Teach, aka Blackbeard, who sailed near OBX. This man approached the Pogues and made a proposition. There are theories that he may have buried treasure on OBX, so the group will once again embark on a hunt for more gold. As showrunners Jonas Pate, Josh Pate, and Shannon Burke promised, there will be "more twists and turns" in the upcoming season.
“The Pogues are enjoying an adventure of a lifetime, and we now get to map out more twists and turns as the joyride continues into season four of Outer Banks,” they said at a Poguelandia fan event in Huntington Beach, CA, after the series was renewed for a fourth season in February 2023. “Thank you to Netflix, our cast, and the amazing fans who helped to make this happen.”
Outer Banks became an instant hit for young adults and adult viewers when it debuted in 2020. With all three seasons making it to Netflix’s global top 10 weekly list, it’s no surprise that many eagerly await the new season.
Outer Banks Seasons 1 to 3 are available on Netflix.
