We already know that the One Piece live-action series is pulling out all the stops to dive into the real Eiichiro Oda territory. This is evident in the trailer where the Straw Hats Pirates are shown wearing some of their rare outfits from the mangaka's creative vault. So, it's no surprise that the latest look for Nami is something that didn't even make it to the manga or the anime.

The One Piece live-action social media accounts have been hyping up the show's premiere later this month. Their marketing move includes sharing behind-the-scenes photos of the cast simply having fun or relaxing. Amazingly, the latest post reveals something new (or should we say, old?) for Nami.

The new post features Emily Rudd, Mackenyu, and Taz Skylar hanging out at one of the cast trailers. The actors are still dressed in their costumes, and fans immediately zeroed in on Rudd's outfit, which might seem simple and cool, but it's actually an awesome reference to a discarded concept design for Nami. It's a great look considering that Eiichiro Oda's original plan was to give the Straw Hats navigator a robotic arm.

For now, it's unclear if Nami will wear a robot arm in the live-action series since the photo doesn't show it. But, we wouldn't be surprised if the arm debuts in the show. Either way, we're loving the idea that we are getting a lot of fantastic looks from the Straw Hats this month.

Emily Rudd is someone who is undoubtedly thrilled to be wearing Nami's outfits. After all, the Fear Street actor actively campaigned to be given the role as soon as the live-action series was announced. Luckily, all her hard work paid off, and we'll get to see her as Nami this year.
