Konami is already stacking more Silent Hill projects behind Silent Hill: Townfall instead of pausing after the Silent Hill 2 remake and Silent Hill f. Producer Motoi Okamoto has made clear that several of those follow-ups have no public names yet, which would let the publisher keep the horror series on a yearly track rather than another long drought.
In a recent interview with GamesRadar, Silent Hill producer Motoi Okamoto framed that hidden work as part of a deliberate effort to keep new games arriving on a regular cycle after the Silent Hill 2 remake and Silent Hill f. He described a slate in which several teams are already moving at once so the brand does not slip back into the long gaps that defined much of the last decade.
“Our aim is to, hopefully, have an annual release of new games,” Okamoto explained. “There are still many projects that are still under the works and very unannounced titles. So obviously, we can’t go into specifics.” He noted that “there are still many projects that we are currently exploring and working on as we speak.”
That remark suggests Konami is no longer planning isolated comebacks and is instead building a pipeline large enough to support a new Silent Hill title every year. The remake of the original Silent Hill, already in development at Bloober Team, sits naturally inside that plan even though the company has not attached a public window to it yet.
Konami released smaller Silent Hill games in recent years as well, including the free Silent Hill: The Short Message in early 2024. Compact experiments of that kind give the publisher extra ways to keep the series visible between larger productions, which is the kind of flexibility an annual schedule would need while several unannounced titles are still being shaped behind the scenes.
The next public test of that yearly cadence is Silent Hill: Townfall, which is scheduled to launch on September 24, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC. Once that Scottish-set entry is out, the remaining question is whether the unannounced projects Okamoto refused to detail can arrive on time and keep Silent Hill on the annual clock Konami now says it wants.
