Netflix’s Geeked Week is back for its fourth year, and this time, not everything will be virtual. Starting on September 16, the streamer will make the fan event a reality, culminating with a live, in-person event in Atlanta on September 19. So, to tease what’s to come, Netflix has dropped a date announcement teaser highlighting some of its biggest shows, like Wednesday, Stranger Things, Squid Game, and more.
You can watch the Netflix’s Geeked Week 2024 teaser below:
The teaser starts with a big bang, showing Jenna Ortega and Emma Myers back in their college dorms in the highly anticipated Wednesday Season 2. It then transitions to show Morpheus as he opens the gates in Sandman, followed by footage from Squid Game Season 2, where the new players look up at the prize money. Caitlyn from Arcane takes the scene, while the preview shifts its focus to the live-action adaptation of One Piece featuring Luffy.
“This year, the stakes are higher than they’ve ever been,” a man says as different footage from the shows mentioned above plays. “You’ve gotta take things to the next level.”
In a scene from Stranger Things, Eleven has her eyes blindfolded while her nose is bleeding. Aang shows off his fighting skills from Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender. Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso face each other in the center of the ring in the second part of Cobra Kai Season 6. It then gives a glimpse of the world of Arcane as Vi and Jinx fight side by side. As Black Mirror Season 7 is already confirmed, it looks like fans will get new details about it after the teaser features some scenes from the past seasons.

What to Expect from Netflix’s Geeked Week 2024
Like previous years, Netflix’s Geeked Week 2024 will celebrate its biggest global fandoms and highlight its most “beloved Geeked titles,” including series, films, and games. Though it has yet to reveal details of the programming, promising to give more info in the coming weeks, it’s expected to make major announcements about the much-awaited new seasons of the shows seen in the teaser, like Wednesday, Stranger Things, Black Mirror, Squid Game, One Piece, Arcane, and Avatar.
Also, as Zach Snyder’s new animated series Twilight of the Gods is set to release during the week of the fan event, it may also be put in the spotlight. Netflix’s other big projects, such as the anime movie The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep, Rian Johnson’s Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, The Platform 2, and the anime series Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft may also be teased.
So, whatever Netflix brings to the table in the fourth year of its fan event, there will surely be a lot of surprises. After the cast of Stranger Things showed up to play Dungeons & Dragons in Geeked Week 2022, with the show’s upcoming fifth and final season, something bigger may come. It’s good to note that Atlanta is the sci-fi series’ filming location, so there may be a reason why Netflix chose to hold Geeked Week 2024 there.
