Netflix’s One Piece has introduced an array of characters for its first season, including Koby (Morgan Davies) and Helmeppo (Aidan Scott). Though these two have contrasting personalities, it can’t be denied that they have shown great chemistry. But as the final episode’s post-credit scene reveals that they will go under Vice Admiral Monkey D. Garp’s (Vincent Regan) training, what will happen next to Koby and Helmeppo?

Based on Eiichiro Oda’s manga of the same name, Netflix’s live-action adaptation is now receiving much praise from fans and critics alike. With its success, topping the streamer’s top 10 TV show list, many are now wondering if there will be One Piece Season 2 and if it’ll see most of the characters introduced, like Koby and Helmeppo.

The previous season finale, Worst in the East, sees Koby and Helmeppo in front of Garp, awaiting their punishment. But to their surprise, the Marine leader congratulated them for doing a job well done for following their codes.

From there, the vice admiral offered to train them, which he also called a punishment all the same. Of course, the young marines gladly accept. That said, if One Piece Season 2 happens and the series stays true to its source material, fans will see a massive transformation happening to Koby and Helmeppo.

Will Koby and Helmeppo return in One Piece Season 2?

As Koby and Helmeppo will train at Marineford, these two may not appear in One Piece Season 2. Sure, the live-action adaptation made a big change from the manga, focusing on these newbie marines pursuing Luffy throughout the East Blue.

But the manga readers know that when Koby joined the Marines in Shells Town in Chapter 7, he’s not seen until another 425 chapters. And this time, he has a new look—far different from the shy and afraid ship caretaker for the Alvida Pirates.

If Netflix follows suit after he trains under Garp, the next time fans may see him and Helmeppo is in the third or fourth season. However, they may still appear in the possible One Piece Season 2 once or twice to establish the Marine’s status.
