Netflix has dropped a new batch of images for the upcoming live-action adaptation of One Piece one week before its official release. The streamer gives a closer look at Garp, Koby, Helmeppo, and Captain Morgan, but what gets everyone’s attention is the real-life image of Transponder Snails, a first look at this Den Den Mushi.
For the first time in One Piece manga’s 26 years of serialization, it will be adapted into a live-action TV series by Netflix, and many are now looking forward to seeing it with the incredible hype it has built. Add to that this project heavily involves its original creator Eiichiro Oda, and fans now have high expectations for this new series.
The photo in question sees a Den Den Mushi being held by Garp (Vincent Regan) as he seems to be delivering a message. In another preview, a solo image of this B creature is seen while being fed with a little piece of leaf by someone.
This newly released still of Den Den Mushi proves how true to the source Netflix’s One Piece will be. The details of this character are a hundred percent accurate, even exceeding fans’ expectations with its exactness.

What is Den Den Mushi in the world of One Piece?
Den Den Mushi is a species of telepathic snail used for vocal and/or visual communication across the One Piece world. It’s classified as a “B” type creature for being “small friendly.”
This critter has a mysterious ability to engage in telepathic communication with one another despite extensive distances, possibly through electronic signals. It also can replicate speech clearly, from intonations to cadences of the individual voices. In most English translations, Den Den Mushi is called Transponder Snails.
Netflix will release its live-action adaptation of One Piece on August 31. With the number of preview stills and trailers the streaming giant has released for the series so far, fans can't help but be more excited.
