Netflix's upcoming K-drama Daily Dose of Sunshine has released new stills of Park Bo Young (Doom at Your Service), Yeon Woo Jin (Thirty Nine), Lee Jung Eun (Parasite), and Jang Dang Yoon (Oasis).
Based on the webtoon Morning Comes To The Mental Ward and the real-life experiences of a psychiatric nurse, Daily Dose of Sunshine tells the story of a nurse who suddenly gets transferred to Department of Psychiatry, and the patients she interacts with there.
Park Bo Young is playing the role of the nurse named Jung Da Eun, who transfers from internal medicine to the psychiatric ward at Myung Shin University Hospital in her third year. The new stills reveal the characters who she will meet at the psychiatric ward.
Yeon Woo Jin's role is Dong Go Yun, a protctocologist at Myung Shin University Hospital, and the character is described (via Soompi) as “a quirky character who is unique in the sense that when he gets interested in something, he focuses only on that one thing.”
Jang Dong Yoon's character is Song Yu Chan, Da Eun's best friend since elementary school and Go Yun's junior from college. He already resigned fom his job at a major company and now helps his parents with their chicken restaurant.
The head nurse of the Mental Health Department at Myung Shin University Hospital will be played by Lee Jung Eun. She's described to be a professional veteran who understands the caregivers and their patients and can handle any situation. She also guides Da Eun and provides moral support to her fellow nurses in the psychiatric ward. To play her role in Daily Dose of Sunshine well, Lee Jung Eun consulted with someone currently working a a head nurse in a hospital.
