The One Piece live-action series is officially out and fans are loving the first season of the Netflix show. After all, Season 1's final episode provided a proper conclusion as well as a tease of the future. So who can we expect to see joining the Straw Hats Pirates in Season 2? There were already hidden references at the next crew members who will show up in the next season.
In the first season of One Piece, fans got to see how Monkey D. Luffy recruited what would be the first crew members who would join him on his epic quest. After saving Roronoa Zoro and convincing Nami to help him in Shells Town, Luffy got Usopp and Sanji to join him next. After defeating Arlong and liberating Coco Village from the fish-men, Luffy and his crew prepare to cross the Grand Line and fulfill their dreams.

But who will join the Straw Hats Pirates next in One Piece Season 2? Since the live-action series has been following the crew's order of appearance in the Eiichiro Oda manga, it would only make sense to see Tony Tony Chopper as the first new crew member. In addition to that, the first season already teased his arrival in its own unique way.
When Zoro is injured, Luffy immediately declares that the crew needs a doctor. Although we're reaching with this one, it's still a clever reference at the medically inclined reindeer. This also happens right before Sanji joins the crew so it was a tease at who the next recruit will be in One Piece.
Who is Tony Tony Chopper?
Chopper is a reindeer who ate the Hito Hito no Mi, the Devil Fruit that allows its user to transform into a human hybrid. In the anime, he is taught to be a healer on Drum Island by Dr. Hiriluk and Dr. Kureha. He is the fifth member of the crew to join the Straw Hats Pirates, becoming the doctor who cares for the members.
While Chopper is already expected to show up in the second season, One Piece already mentioned a future crew member as well. During his encounter with Luffy, Arlong enumerates the Seven Pirate Lords and namedrops future Straw Hats member Jinbe. But we'll probably have to wait a long time for the fish-man's debut.
For now, Netflix has not yet confirmed One Piece for a second season. Nevertheless, fans are hoping that an announcement will be made soon. In the meantime, all eight episodes of the first season are already available on the streaming service.
