Winter 2024 is about to begin, and that means fans will soon see the anime adaptation of My Instant Death Ability Is So Overpowered, No One in This Other World Stands a Chance Against Me! Produced by the animation studio Okuruto Noboru, the anime has released its second preview highlighting the childhood of the lead character, Yogiri Takato. But aside from that, it also introduces more cast members and characters viewers are about to meet. You can see the preview below:
The My Instant Death Ability Is So Overpowered trailer begins with a red alert amid gunfire while showing a young Yogiri, who has the ability to kill instantly. An invasion happens at the mysterious facility as the hunt for Asigiri begins. It just so happens that the boy they’re looking for is Yogiri. Asaka Takato, a research institute employee, is seen in an elevator with a doctor, while a grown-up Yogiri appears in a house with a dog.
As the scene changes, Yogiri goes along with Tomichika, a high school student the protagonist will save in another world. The preview also shows Other, the sage rain, followed by a sequence of Sion, another, a cat woman, and Yuuki, a handsome narcissist who sees himself as a special person. From there, a fight against the spirits in another world begins while Yogiri is side by side with Tomichika. Mokomoko, Tomichika's ancestor and guardian spirit, also appears, seemingly reprimanding her.

Hanae Nakamura, Tatsuhiko Saiki, Kanade Sakuma, and Daisuke Kadowaki serve as music composers, and Maika Sakuragi (voiced by Anna Suzuki) of the Utahime Dream virtual girl group sings the ending theme, Haze. Alternatively, the opening theme is Killer Bars by Hilcrhyme.

My Instant Death Ability Is So Overpowered follows the story of Yogiri as he learns that his whole class has been transported to another world. However, he’s asleep the entire ordeal, missing the “Gift” power that a sage bestowed on everyone. Hence, he and his other classmates are left as bait to distract an incoming dragon. Though he’s not afraid of dying, he decides to protect his lone companion and uses his secret power to kill a low-level monster.

Based on the Japanese light novel of the same name by Tsuyoshi Fujitaka, the series originated on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website before it was published in print with illustrations by Chisato Naruse on Earth Star Entertainment from October 2016 to March 2023. It has 14 volumes. Hanamaru Nanto then adapted it into manga in March 2018 and has collected nine volumes as of August 2023. An anime adaptation by Okuruto Noboru was announced on December 1, 2022.
