The second cour of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 is coming in a few weeks, and isekai anime fans are excited to continue the epic adventures of Rudeus, Sylphiette, and friends. Today, the production team has released the first promotional video for Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Part 2, which previews the ending theme Mamoritai Mono by Yuiko Oohara. The first cour premiered last year, and aired for 12 episodes from July to September 2023, and the second cour of Season 2 is scheduled to premiere on April 7, 2024 in Japan. The first promotional video for the upcoming Mushoku Tensei episodes is loaded with new footage teasing more romantic moments between Rudeus and Sylphiette. We also get to see returning and new characters while teasing the anime's emotional scenes.
Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Part 2 will be directed by Ryousuke Shibuya (The Reincarnation of the Strongest Exorcist in Another World), marking the second directional change for the anime series (The first season was directed by Onimai‘s Shingo Fujii, and Season 1 assistant director Hiroki Hirano directed Season 2 Part 1). As for the returning staff: Toshiya Oono will be the series composer once again while Yoshiko Saitou (Kubo Won't Let Me Be Invisible) and Sanae Shimada are the character designers. The art director is Masakazu Miyake, and the music composer is Yoshiaki Fujisawa.
What is Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation anime about?
Studio Bind is producing the anime adaptation of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2, which is based on the popular isekai light novel series written Rifujin na Magonote and illustrated by Shirotaka. The series began in 2014 and concluded in November 2022 with 26 volumes. It also inspired a manga adaptation and multiple spin-offs. The first volume of the light novel sversion of the Dasoku-hen spin-off was released in June 2023. Seven Seas Entertainment shared a plot description for the series:
Kicked out by his family and wandering the streets, an unemployed 34-year-old shut-in thinks he’s hit rock-bottom—just as he’s hit and killed by a speeding truck! Awakening to find himself reborn as an infant in a world of swords and sorcery, but with the memories of his first life intact, Rudeus Greyrat is determined not to repeat his past mistakes. He’s going to make the most of this reincarnation as he sets off on the adventure of a second lifetime!
