After Rudeus finally reveals his intention to marry Sylphy at the end of the first cour, a wedding is now on the horizon in Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Part 2. Fans are now expressing their excitement to see the two begin their new life as husband and wife. So, to give an update on the much-awaited second cour, the anime has dropped its theme songs’ titles and artists.
The anime’s official website has revealed Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Part 2’s opening and ending themes and the artists behind these songs. After performing the OP and ED themes for other anime series, like 86-Eighty Six- and Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, the Japanese rock band Hitorie now lends their voice to the second cour’s opening theme, On the Front Line. Singer-songwriter Yuiko Ohara is also back to perform the ending theme, What I Want to Protect, after singing the anime’s other soundtracks, like Tabibito no Uta and Only, from the first season.
Talking about their involvement in this new project, Hitorie feels truly honored that their song has been chosen as the second cour’s opening theme. They then reveal that the track is about the helplessness Rudeus’ felt before he got reincarnated and his strong will not repeat the same mistakes he did in the past in his new life.
Alternatively, Ohara is happy to return and perform the ending theme of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Part 2. With the story's progress, she feels the melodies and lyrics have now become straightforward. And just like fans, she, too, is excited to see the new episodes’ release.
