The staff of the upcoming Mobile Suit Gundam Seed FREEDOM movie has released its fourth trailer ahead of its early 2024 release date. The epic trailer was released along with a new visual that was revealed earlier on the same day in Japan. The video previews the theme song Freedom by Takanori Nishikawa (a.k.a. T.M. Revolution) with producer t.komuro (Tetsuya Komuro).
The new key visual features some of the new faces that will debut in the Mobile Suit Gundam Seed sequel, as well as returning characters such as Murrue Ramius and Mu La Flaga.
Mobile Suit Gundam Seed director Mitsuo Fukuda is helming the anime movie sequel at Bandai Namco Filmworks. The script was co-written by Fukuda, his late wife Chiaki Morosawa and Liu Goto. Hisashi Hirai (Mobile Suit Gundam Seed) is in charge of the character designs. Mobile Suit Gundam Seed FREEDOM is scheduled to release on January 26, 2024 in theaters in Japan.

What is Mobile Suit Gundam Seed FREEDOM about?
Mobile Suit Gundam Seed premiered in 2002, and its series sequel, Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny premiered in 2004. The sequel movie plans were announced in 2006, and in 2021, the staff announced that production was ongoing, and that it's part of the Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Project ignited initiative, which commemorates the 20th anniversary of the original Mobile Suit Gundam Seed anime in 2022. The initiative also includes the Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Eclipse side-story manga and aanew Mobile Suit Gundam Seed game.
The sequel movie is set in the 75th year of Mobile Suit Gundam Seed‘s Cosmic Era timeline, shortly after the conclusion of the Second Alliance-PLANT War in Seed Destiny.
