The latest Spider-Man 2 update seems to have brought the popular “Nelson and Murdock” sign back to the game that was initially missing when the game was released. Their names and the notice on the door was one of the best Easter eggs found in the game and were also a speculation point for players thinking about the alter ego of Daredevil. In no time, these rumors spread like wildfire, suggesting that the game might feature some Daredevil content.
Insomniac Games creative director Bryan Intihar also added to the fire by asking fans to “stay tuned.” The rumors started making the rounds once again on the internet when a player posted a mysterious room in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 that might serve as an Easter egg, teasing the debut of Daredevil and his evil Marvel Organization, The Hand. However, now it looks like the latest update has introduced one more layer to the ongoing speculations.
The recent Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 update introduced Matt Murdock and Foggy Nelson’s “Attorneys at Law” sign from the first Insomniac game, Marvel’s Spider-Man. There was no error in its initial omission since a notice was posted in the window, implying the two lawyers had closed their businesses.
Regardless, it looks like the return of the sign has asked players to question all sorts of things. On top of this, Intihar is once again commenting on the entire situation. On IGN’s social media post regarding the plaque being up again, Intihar replied, "Guess they paid their rent... "
Will there be a Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 DLC?
Players are currently wondering why Insomniac Games decided to remove the sign in the first place. Considering Intihar’s recent remark, many fans believe that the marketing team is planning on announcing Daredevil’s arrival to Insomniac’s Marvel universe. It can either be in the form of a standalone game or a DLC for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Unfortunately, until Insomniac officially announces the Marvel hero (if at all), all of these are only speculations.
The developers haven’t announced the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 DLC officially, but many fans believe they might sometime soon. We won’t be caught off guard if additional content does arrive in the game since the first game also received multiple chapters of brand-new story missions. If the sequel does get additional content, Daredevil is definitely at the top of the list as the most desired potential DLC character for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
