In an upcoming episode of Marvel Cinematic Universe's What If...? Season 2 on Disney+, Tony Stark's Iron Man gets a unique upgrade, and now, we now have our first look at his special armor.
The first season of What If...? animated series ended with an epic finale featuring the Guardians of the Multiverse, but there's a confusing scene in Episode 9 that showed the Watcher dropping by a universe where auiences can see Tony Stark wearing a new Iron Man suit of armor alongside Gamora, who is donning the armor of Thanos.
Iron Man's Special Armor in Marvel's What If...? Season 2
Hot Toys revealed a first-look photo at Iron Man's Sakaarian armor from Marvel's What If...? animated series, and as you can see below, it looks pretty bulky, and the colors resemble the Super-Electromagnetic Robot from the Japanese anime, Voltes V. Since Sakaar is known as a trash planet, it's likely that Tony Stark could've created and upgraded his armor with a bunch of scraps, so expect it it to be loaded with tricks from that world.

Hot Toys' official What If...? Iron Man figure was originally set to be part of the animated show's marketing for its first season.
However, during an October 2021 interview with Variety, What If...? head writer A.C. Bradley confirmed that the Iron Man and Gamora crossover episode was originally going to be in the first season, but it was moved to Season 2 due to the COVID pandemic, so we will see them again.
Bradley revealed how the pandemic affected one of their animation houses:

It looks like Marvel's What If...? Season 2 will continue to show us some unique possibilities we've never seen in the MCU before. It would exciting to see how Tony Stark and Gamora get their new armors, and this new photo from Hot Toys should get fans hyped for the upcoming episodes.
Marvel's What If...? Season 1 is now streaming on Disney+. Season 2 is expected to release by 2024, but it doesn't have an official release date yet.
