We're only a few months away from the release of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 game for the PlayStation 5, and fans can't wait to get their hands on one of the most highly-anticipated videogames coming this year. Developed by Insomniac Games, the action-adventure is a sequel to Marvel's Spider-Man (2018) and a follow-up to Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales (2020), and features Miles Morales and Peter Parker working together as a duo as they go up against new enemies such as the Lizard, Kraven the Hunter, and the symbiote Venom, which bonds itself to Peter.

To get fans even more excited, the team behind Marvel's Spider-Man 2 put up a hype train...literally. As you can see from a tweet by Evan Filarca, the Head Founder of the Spidey Squad, below, they used an actual train to advertise the upcoming PS5 game. The train is painted red to match Spider-Man's themes and features the game's official key art showing Peter Parker and Miles Morales in action, side-by-side, with the tagline, "Be greater. Together."

That's one of the coolest ads for a videogame that we've ever seen, but don't expect the promotional run for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 to end there. Insomniac Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment will likely reveal more previews for the game, so expect the hype train to speed up in the upcoming weeks.

As shown in the train's ad, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is scheduled to release for the PlayStation 5 on October 20, 2023. Alongside the standard edition, players can also get a Digital Deluxe Edition, which features two sets of five unique suits for Miles Morales and Peter Parker, designed by guest artists from PlayStation Studios and the wider entertainment industry. It also includes two extra skill points for ability unlocks, additional frames, and stickers for the in-game Photo Mode.

Participating retailers and the PlayStation Direct will also distribute a Collection's Edition, which contains a download voucher for the Digital Deluxe Edition, a steelbook case, and a 19-inch display statue portraying the Spider-Man battling Venom.
