Nearly a month before the launch of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, developer Insomniac Games and PlayStation have released a couple of brand-new posters from the game. The upcoming Spider-Man video game has become one of the biggest and most anticipated games of 2023 and is set to be a serious hit for PlayStation. In order to create some more hype and excitement around the title, Insomniac has revealed a couple of new posters for the game that feature both Peter Parker and Miles Morales in their respective hero forms.
Insomniac Games showed off the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 posters on their official Twitter account. The very first poster features Peter Parker posing while also swinging all the way through New York City with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 logo present over the top. The second poster, even though it consists of Miles Morales in his brand-new “Upgraded Suit,” is quite similar to the first one. The developers took these images from in-game while also encouraging fans to pre-order the Spider-Man sequel.
What’s most interesting is that the new Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 poster featuring Peter Parker is that it does not show him wearing his Symbiote suit. That particular version of Spider-Man was greatly featured in the latest gameplay reveal from PlayStation that was revealed earlier this year. Even though it’s pretty apparent that Peter’s new outfit is going to play a major role in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 story, both Insomniac and PlayStation are choosing to not display this costume much in the marketing for the upcoming sequel.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Gameplay
Fortunately, we know quite a handful of information regarding the gameplay of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. With Peter Parker having access to the symbiote suit, he has earned the title of “acrobatic improviser.” The suit also adds some new combat abilities, such as a massive slam attack that has the ability to eliminate several opponents simultaneously.
When it comes to traveling, both Miles and Peter have wing suits, guaranteed to help players travel much faster than before. In the trailer, we saw that these can be used to ride air currents and can be chained consistently with web-swinging. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will feature plenty of major updates to the gameplay that was featured in the last two games. Insomniac Games plans on greatly emphasizing the aggression of combat and the new suit’s raw power. We’ll explore all the other features once the game actually releases next month.
