Loki Season 2 Episode 5 just might be the most exciting part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe series as it comes right after last week's shocking cliffhanger. Luckily, Science/Fiction did not disappoint as it revealed the solution to the God of Mischief's problem and it was actually something that was originally perceived as the problem. But how can time-slipping ultimately fix the Temporal Loom?
In Loki Season 2 Episode 5, Loki finds himself alone in the TVA as the Loom causes everything to turn into spaghetti. To make things worse, he is time-slipping all over again, but this time, he's finding himself in key moments that would later prove to be important. For instance, Loki picks up a TVA handbook and takes it with him before he is transported to a different timeline, one where the past Casey is trying to escape Alcatraz.
One by one, Loki reunites with the other TVA agents in their past lives, thanks to his time-slipping. At one point, he finds OB, who has been trying to buy his own books from the bookstore. After discussing his dilemma with the past OB, Loki hands the TVA repairman the handbook. This later proves useful as OB invents a TemPad that makes it easier to transport them across the timeline.
Interestingly, Loki "time-slips" right after giving OB the TVA handbook which strongly suggests he did the right thing. So does this mean time-slipping is a way to show Loki that he's made the right choice?
Is time-slipping the answer to TVA's problem?
In the season premiere, Loki saw time-slipping as a huge problem and he actually used it to find the solution. By visiting the past OB, he gave the repairman the idea for the Temporal Aura Extractor that would come in handy in the present. With that in mind, it's clear that time-slipping worked to Loki's advantage and now it might be the only way to fix the Temporal Loom and restore the Sacred Timeline.
Loki Season 2 Episode 5 concluded with Loki finally managing his time-slipping and declaring that he will rewrite the story before going back to the moment where he and his allies were trying to fix the Temporal Loom. But will they get it right this time? The truth will finally be revealed next week.
