The latest episode of Loki Season 2 has once again introduced time-slipping into the main storyline, and this time, it might be the only way to save the Sacred Timeline. Episode 5 saw the God of MIschief desperately trying to reassemble his team and get back on track to fixing the Temporal Loom.
In Loki Season 2 Episode 5, Loki finds himself alone in the TVA headquarters as the Temporal Loom collapses in front of him. Even worse, he is time-slipping again all over the timeline. But could this be a good thing? At one point, Loki realizes he is seeing his allies in their lives before the TVA. For instance, it is revealed that Casey was a convict trying to escape Alcatraz.
Although he is confused, Loki begins to realize his glorious purpose when he meets the OB Variant who just happens to be a brilliant science fiction writer. After discussing his time-slipping dilemma, Loki hands OB a TVA handbook and begins gathering the rest of his group in hopes they will figure out a way to fix the Loom together.
Still, Loki has one major problem: Unlike everyone else, Sylvie hasn't lost her memories and knows exactly what just happened. She points out that OB, Casey, Mobius, and Hunter B-15 returning to their old lives is a good thing and refuses to help him.
As Sylvie continues with her life, she heads for a record shop to try and forget about her meeting with Loki. Unfortunately, the branch begins to unravel and she realizes that she needs to work with Loki to fix everything. But just as she joins the group, OB's newly created TemPad vanishes and everyone disappears all over again.
Season 2 Episode 5 confirms it was Loki all along (who make things right)
This puts Loki back to square one but this time, he realizes that it wasn't about assembling a team after all. With his time-slipping finally under control, the God of Mischief declares he has been the one who needs to make all the right decisions and ultimately fix the Temporal Loom to prevent the destruction of the TVA.

Loki Season 2 Episode 5 was certainly an exciting trip as it showed viewers what the main players used to do before they joined the TVA. As it turns out, Loki himself may have called on all of them in an effort to restore the Sacred Timeline. But will he manage to figure out the right decisions that will eventually repair the Temporal Loom? There's one more episode to go and hopefully, it will show us whether Loki was truly in control of his own destiny.
