It looks like fans can look forward to the prominent return of Jonathan Majors in Loki Season 2. Executive producer Kevin Wright has just confirmed that his new character Victor Timely will play a larger role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe series despite Majors' recent legal controversy.

Entertainment Weekly recently covered Ke Huy Quan's debut as a new character in Loki Season 2. In the feature, Wright also discussed Majors' return in the MCU series where he is playing a new Kang Variant from the past. Interestingly, the executive producer confirmed that the character will be more than just a cameo at the end of the show.

"Victor Timely is somebody that we are very, very excited about," Wright said. "When you look at Kang, he has a very funny comic backstory. He has all these iterations. Timely was one that we've always wanted to do in Loki. And I think we're really excited about how that integrates into the season. It's a big part of the show."

This is an interesting confirmation considering that there were concerns about Majors being removed from Loki Season 2 due to his recent controversy. However, it appears that his new Kang Variant could be a major player later next month.

Jonathan Majors first entered the MCU during Loki Season 1, portraying the character He Who Remains, a Variant of Kang the Conqueror. His introduction continued with his appearance in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania as the Conqueror himself. Although the character was killed off in the film, the conclusion confirmed that there are more Variants to deal with in the future.

However, there were concerns among fans about his future involvement with the MCU following his arrest for assault on March 26, which occurred after the premiere of Quantumania in theaters. Speculation about character recasting arose, but the actor's active participation in the filming of Loki Season 2, along with his presence in promotional material, indicates his continued role in the Disney+ series and the MCU, at least for the foreseeable future.
