Netflix officially announced the coming of Lincoln Lawyer Season 3 on August 30—barely a month after the release of the second season’s last few episodes on August 3. Showrunners Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez told Tudum that the audience’s response to the series had been “gratifying and wonderful.” Hence, they’re all excited to have the chance to dive back into Connelly’s epic story again and bring Mickey Haller back to the small screen.
The second season’s first part quickly reached the Netflix Global Top 10 with a whopping 40 million viewers in almost two months. It also reached the Top 10 in 81 countries. That said, there may be high expectations for the third season 3 to match or surpass the previous season’s success.

Now that the writers’ and actors’ strikes have finally ended, the cameras may start rolling for several movies and TV shows, including Lincoln Lawyer Season 3. Rumors have it that the scripts for the third season were already written even before the WGA strike began in May 2023. However, fans should take this assumption with a grain of salt, as nothing is confirmed yet.
But what is assured is Deadline revealed a list of TV shows that would start filming after receiving tentative start date notifications following the actors’ strike conclusion. As seen on the list, Lincoln Lawyer is scheduled to start its production in January 2024.

Lincoln Lawyer Season 3 will adapt Connelly’s fifth book, The Gods of Guilt. Here, Haller will be handling the case of a digital pimp named Andre La Cosse. The suspect is being accused of killing Gloria, who happens to be Haller’s friend. As this complicates things for the series protagonist, making the fight personal, it’s a must-see how he will take this case.
The fifth book also sees the appearance of Connelly’s signature character, Harry Bosh, though it remains to be seen if he will make it on TV, considering he doesn’t play any major role in the novel this time. Also, the author teased why he called his book The Gods of Guilt, revealing it was because he described the jury members as the “gods of guilt.”
When will Lincoln Lawyer Season 3 possibly be released?
So far, Netflix has yet to announce when Lincoln Lawyer Season 3 will be released, especially since the production hasn’t begun yet. But as the filming may start early next year, there may be a potential that it will come out in the same year, too.
Based on the previous season’s productions, it takes five months before the filming gets completed. From there, the post-production stage will begin.
