Star Wars will finally introduce Anakin Skywalker in the upcoming episode of Ahsoka, as revealed by the latest poster shared by the franchise. The Disney+ series expands on our favorite Jedi’s adventures, revealing some pieces of information about her past that only serious Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels fans would be aware of. Ahsoka Episode 4, titled Fallen Jedi answered many of our questions, including some regarding Anakin.
Star Wars recently revealed a new poster for Ahsoka on their official X (formerly Twitter) account nearly 12 hours after Hayden Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker returned in Episode 4. Christensen has also played Anakin Skywalker in the past in Episode II: Attack of the Clones (2002), Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2005), and Obi-Wan Kenobi, and rumors from December 2021 have been suggesting that he might show up in Ahsoka. In Ahsoka Part Four: Fallen Jedi, Anakin meets Ahsoka in the mystical World Between Worlds, a place that is present within the force and also connects all the different moments in space and time together. In order to match Christensen’s appearance in Revenge of the Sith, the Ahsoka crew used the de-aging technique on him.
Anakin Skywalker Returns in Ahsoka Episode 4
In Episode 4, we see Ahsoka in an intense lightsaber battle with Baylan Skoll, during which she falls off the edge and ends up on a walkway in the World Between Worlds. Once she wakes up, she sees herself in a mysterious, celestial place and hears a familiar voice call out to her, saying “Hello Snips.” Anakin gave Ahsoka a nickname soon after they first met, which is Snips, because of the snippy attitude that the new padawan possessed back then.
Ahsoka turns around to see Anakin Skywalker standing right in front of her, not wearing the robes we saw him in during his last appearance, but an appearance that the young Jedi will remember. He then shares with Ahsoka how he didn’t expect to see her so soon, and in response, Ahsoka just looks scared, baffled, and intrigued. At this point, the episode comes to an end with the Darth Vader theme playing in the background as the screen slowly blacks out.
The real question is why Anakin was there in the World Between Worlds in the first place and how he even got there. Not only this but many fans are also wondering if he saved Ahsoka by pulling her out of battle since one cannot enter the World Between Worlds by accident and it looks like Ahsoka didn’t take herself there intentionally. What is Anakin going to say to his former apprentice? We’ll just have to wait another week to have our questions answered!
Ahsoka is available to stream on Disney+, with new episodes being released every Wednesday.
