The Star Wars shows on Disney Plus all started with The Mandalorian wherein all the series on the streaming service were later called as "Mandoverse". An heiress to the throne seems to have advanced in the previous season of the show being called as "The Chosen One". Now, with The Mandalorian Season 4 lined up for Lucasfilm, Katee Sackhoff breaks her silence as she insists that the series remains the show of Pedro Pascal's Din Djarin and not her character's, Bo-Katan Kryze.
Odds favor the character of Kate Sackhoff in The Mandalorian as Bo-Katan Kryze gets a bigger role in the series to bring all of Mandalore all together. This gives rise to speculations that she would be poised to take over the show and be the heiress of The Mandalorian series starting Season 4. Speaking with The Direct, Katee Sackhoff speaks up on thespeculation of replacing Pedro Pascal's Din Djarin:
I think there's always going to be a lot of speculation in this fandom. You know, I think it's one of the reasons why people love this fandom so much. And they love this universe so much that a lot of times it allows just enough ambiguity for people to interpret things the way that they want to interpret them. And out of that there is the ability to have a lot of misinformation get out, or just, you know, wishful thinking.
As per Sackhoff, while there is a need for the story of Bo-Katan Kryze to be told, The Mandalorian will always be Pedro Pascal's Din Djarin series:
I think in this situation, I think that the story of the Mandalorians and the story of Bo-Katan needed to be told, I don't believe in any way that it was taking away from Din story, nor was that ever the intention. And you know, Pedro and I aren't in charge of who gets to lead the show. This is Din Djarin's show, it will always be Din Djarin's show.
What will The Mandalorian Season 4 be about?
There is still no official synopsis on The Mandalorian Season 4, the production of the series could be coming sooner rather than later as the strikes finally ended earlier this month. There is much hope that the series will get more updates soon as Jon Favreau admitted to BFMTV INSIDE that he already got the scripts done during the post-production of Season 3. Bo-Katan Kryze did, indeed, play a huge role in The Mandalorian Season 3 as her narrative proved to be pivotal in the redemption arc of Din Djarin after he took off his helmet, something forbidden in their culture.
The Mandalorian Season 4 could take on a different path with the Mandalorians finally got back Mandalore from Moff Gideon and the Imperial Remnants. Din Djarin finally made it formal -- he is now the father of Grogu as he adopts him, then, they proceed to Nevarro where he plans to take on Captain Carson Terva. With Din Djarin leaving with Grogu, Bo-Katan Kryze is left at Mandalore as she it was revealed that she was "The Chosen One" to bring the whole of Mandalore all together.
The Mandalorian Season 4 is currently set for a 2025 release.
