Kenjiro Tsuda just got an awesome new gig. The Jujutsu Kaisen star is officially joining the cast of Bungo Stray Dogs Season 5. It was also confirmed that TsudaKen will be playing an important ally to the already terrifying Fyodor Dostoevsky.
There are only a few actors with a voice as distinct as Kenjiro Tsuda. He has lent his unique deep voice to characters like Manji in Blade of the Immortal (2019), Kento Nanami in Jujutsu Kaisen, and The Beholder in To Your Eternity. His latest work was as Captain Kishibe in Chainsaw Man and Tsuda is now joining Bungo Stray Dogs as The Immortal Earl.
The official Bungo Stray Dogs Twitter account has shared the character information on a new villain voiced by Tsuda that will be introduced in the upcoming episode of the fifth season. Bram Stoker is one of the Decay of the Angel which already includes Dostoevsy, Sigma, Nikolai Gogol, and Ochi Fukuchi. Moreover, he has an Ability that is very dangerous because of its speed and effectiveness.
We're not surprised that Kenjiro Tsuda was chosen to play Bram Stoker in the anime. After all, the character is unique in Bungo Stray Dogs and deserves someone who can provide an air of mystery and menace. We can't think of a better candidate to portray the Decay of the Angel member in the fifth season.
In the manga, Bram is the final member of the Decay of the Angel to be introduced. His arrival is a tense yet entertaining one considering his appearance (Bram has no lower body, as seen in the character design photo). But the undead villain makes up for the lack of limbs with an unnamed Ability with a devastating effect. With that in mind, his anime debut is one to watch out for.
Bungo Stray Dogs Season 5 has brought back Yuto Uemura as Atsushi Nakajima, Mamoru Miyano as Osamu Dazai, Sumire Morohoshi as Kyoka Izumi, Kensho Ono as Ryunosuke Akutagawa, and Kisho Taniyama as Chuya Nakahara. Bram will debut in Season 5's fourth episode Hero War, Gang War on August 2, 2023.
