Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is on a roll as the second episode made it clear that the anime is setting up for something big this season. Episode 2 was big on the action as Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto protected Riko Amanai from curse users. However, the teaser for next week's episode will introduce new allies for the sorcerers and that includes a teenaged Kento Nanami.
In the first season of Jujutsu Kaisen, Kento Nanami was introduced as a Grade 1 sorcerer who serves as one of Yuji Itadori's mentors. Nanami was established as a responsible adult who tried working in the corporate world but ultimately decided to return to Tokyo Jujutsu High School. But in the second season, viewers will finally get to see what Nanami was like as a student.
The preview for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 3 was dropped immediately after this week's episode concluded and fans immediately noticed teen Nanami along with another student. The other boy is clearly Yu Haibara, who also appears in the second season's opening theme.
We're loving the upcoming arrival of teen Nanami considering that it will offer a new look at one of the strongest sorcerers at Tokyo Jujutsu High School right now. Needless to say, we can't wait to see the interesting dynamic between Nanami and Haibara, and how they interact with Gojo and Geto in the anime.
The teaser also offers a glimpse at Toji Fushiguro finally making his move. In the first two episodes, the so-called "sorcerer killer" had spent his time idling but Fushiguro confirmed that he has a plan that will eventually defeat Satoru Gojo. With that in mind, we can't wait to see what Fushiguro is planning this time.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 3 is titled Hidden Inventory 3 ("Kaigyoku -San-"). It is scheduled to premiere on Thursday, July 20, 2023.
