The first cour of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 has come to an amazing conclusion, and it perfectly tells Satoru Gojo's not-so-secret history with Tokyo Jujutsu High School. In the manga, the Gojo's Past arc is short yet meaningful, and the anime made the storyline even more special. So, it's no surprise that Gege Akutami continues to praise Studio MAPPA for bringing the sorcerer's story to life.

In Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2's first cour, viewers were brought back to 2007 when Gojo, Suguru Geto, and Shoko Ieri were second-year students at Tokyo Jujutsu High School. When Gojo and Geto are sent to escort the Star Plasma Vessel to Master Tengen for the merge, they are immediately pursued by Toji Fushiguro, the deadly assassin known as the "sorcerer killer." What happens next would change the trajectory of Gojo and Geto's lives.

The Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc of the anime was a visual feast that showcased the sorcerers' Cursed Techniques magnificently, and nobody loved it more than Gege Akutami. The mangaka shared his thoughts on the final episode of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2's first cour, and as usual, Akutami couldn't help but praise MAPPA for doing an excellent job.

As much as Akutami and the fans loved how Gojo's Past arc was adapted into the anime, everyone is currently hyped up for the second cour. After all, the second season will finally adapt the manga's Shibuya Incident arc, which has more action and shockers.

What Happens In Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2: Shibuya Incident Arc?

The second half of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 brings us back to the present, just after the first-year students of Tokyo Jujutsu High School took on the Cursed Wombs, but that's not what Gojo is concerned about. The teacher is investigating Mahito's recent attack on the school during the Kyoto Sister School Exchange Event. In the first cour's finale, Gojo awakens as the freshmen finally arrive, and he clearly wants to take them into the investigation.
