The Shibuya Incident arc is finally here and we got another preliminary battle Yuji Itadori has grown so much since the Sister School Event. However, the big one is coming in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 9 as the preview and official title for next week's episode have been revealed.
In Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 8, Yuji was with Mei Mei and her younger brother Ui Ui as they investigated the Aoyama Cemetery. However, Mei Mei quickly realized that they were needed at the Meiji Jingu Shrine Station. The two older sorcerers immediately get to work and Yuji is sent to find a way to fight the Cursed Spirit protecting the second curtain. It doesn't take long for Yuji to fight and defeat KO-Guy aka Grasshopper.
It was a quick fight but there are bigger things to look forward to in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 9. The preview teases Satoru Gojo's complicated fight against Jogo, Hanami, and Choso while Suguru Geto observes them.
Interestingly, the official title also confirms some slow development. Episode 9 will be titled Shibuya Incident Opening (Shibuya Incident Kaimon), confirming that the first major fight will be underway. Will the Cursed Spirits manage to stop Gojo or will the sorcerer easily defeat them? The answer is coming next week.
Episode 8 also confirmed that Geto tried to ensure the Cursed Spirits' victory by telling Jogo how Gojo's Cursed Technique works. Well, it doesn't seem like Geto is confident that Jogo and his companions will defeat Gojo but hopes they will last at least 20 minutes in the fight. Either way, it's clear that the Cursed Spirits are ready to make sacrifices to reach their ultimate goal.
