It's an exciting week for Jujutsu Kaisen as the second season of the anime prepares for the first fights in the Shibuya Incident arc. Luckily, we're getting a glimpse at the action in the new stills from Episode 8. In addition to that, the synopsis for the upcoming episode confirms Satoru Gojo is facing off against more than just one Cursed Spirit while Yuji Itadori is forced to take on an unexpected opponent.
The official Jujutsu Kaisen X (formerly Twitter) account shared the new stills from Episode 8. As expected, we get a glimpse at Gojo in the middle of Shibuya. However, most of the images put the focus on Itadori who is accompanied by Mei Mei and a new character. Moreover, there's a strange new Cursed Spirit in the mix.
We already know about Mei Mei's younger brother Ui Ui who is making his anime debut in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 8. After all, the character will be voiced by legendary Boruto: Naruto Next Generations star Yuki Sanpei. However, new details about the mysterious Cursed Spirit known as Grasshopper have not yet been revealed. Nevertheless, we're looking forward to this new character in the upcoming episode.
The official synopsis for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 8 is listed below:
"October 31, 2018, 7:00 PM. The ‘Curtain’ is brought down in Shibuya. In order to minimize the damage, Gojo heads to the Shibuya station underground platform alone and confronts Jogo, Hanami, and Choso. Meanwhile, Itadori, who was accompanying Mei Mei encounters a spirit that can understand human language…."
What to Expect in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 8
The eighth episode of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is set to continue following the sorcerers as they try to figure out how to deal with the mysterious curtain that has fallen over Shibuya. It will also feature Gojo's first fight in the Shibuya Incident arc as he finds his way into the Shibuya Station. From there, big things are coming as Itadori also encounters someone he previously fought in the first season.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 8 is titled Shibuya Incident ("Shibuya Jihen"). The upcoming episode will premiere on Thursday, September 14, 2023.
