The penultimate episode of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2's first half is finally out and it has everything fans were looking forward to: an epic rematch between Satoru Gojo and Toji Fushiguro, and an ominous post-credits scene teasing what will happen next week. Now, the preview for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 5 has been dropped and it confirms that the finale will finally have a different episode title.
If there's one thing that we have all noticed, it's the fact that the first episodes of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 are titled Hidden Inventory. This isn't unusual considering that the same can be said about the chapters in Gege Akutami's manga. However, Episode 5 is about to change the trend.
The preview for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 5 was dropped soon after this week's episode concluded and it features footage from the finale of the first cour. As expected, we get a glimpse of Suguru Geto who has been traumatized by Riko Amanai's fate and there is a brief shot of two young sorcerers who will help change his path.
As expected, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 5 is titled Premature Death ("Gyokusetsu"). Again, it's not a surprise for those who have been keeping up with the manga. Still, the finale is set to be a huge one as viewers finally get to see the consequences of Amanai's death.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 5 will be the last episode of the first cour and the second half of the current season is set to continue at the end of next month. While waiting for the second cour, there will be a recap of the first half as well as the broadcast of the film Jujutsu Kaisen 0. These should help fans prepare for things to come in the Shibuya Incident arc.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 4 will premiere on Thursday, August 3, 2023.
