The next major fight is coming in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 13. This week's episode promises an intense showdown between Yuji Itadori and the Cursed Spirit Choso, who intends to avenge the death of his brothers.
We already got a glimpse of the new fight in the previous episode of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 as Yuji finally meets Choso who is ready to take on the sorcerer. Their epic fight was even teased in the Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 13 preview that was dropped right after last week's episode concluded. As usual, the teaser featured dialogue that was written by mangaka Gege Akutami.
Interestingly, the new photos from this week's episode confirm that we will be seeing the next fight in the Shibuya Incident arc. In addition to highlighting both Yuji and Choso, the images confirm the arrival of Toge Inumaki, who has yet to make an appearance in the second season of the anime.
The synopsis for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 13 also confirms that Inumaki will play an important role this week. It reads as follows:
With Inumaki’s help, Yuji manages to reach Shibuya Station. Choso appears in front of him and attacks without any questions, saying, 'My brothers’ enemy…!!' During the battle, Choso asks a struggling Yuji. 'Did my brothers say anything to you in their final moments?'
The action is truly going to be intense in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 13. After all, Choso's sheer power has yet to be fully revealed in the anime and the fight against Yuji is more than just an effort to prevent the sorcerer from interfering with Suguru Geto's plans.
Who is Choso in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2?
Choso holds the title of the eldest among the nine Cursed Spirit siblings born from their human mother. He takes his role as the eldest brother very seriously and has a deep affection for his younger siblings and Yuji's actions that led to their death means the Cursed Relic vessel will be going after the sorcerer. One of his remarkable abilities is the coveted Blood Manipulation Technique inherited from the Kamo Clan. His unique nature as a part-cursed spirit allows him to utilize this technique effectively without experiencing blood loss.
The 13th episode of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is titled Red Scale ("Sekirin") and is set to premiere on Crunchyroll on October 20, 2023.
