Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo has drawn its curtain with the release of its 25th and final chapter in the March 9, 2026, issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump (issue 15). Titled Bright Future, the concluding installment caps a whirlwind six-month run that transported readers 68 years ahead into the Jujutsu Kaisen timeline, blending high-stakes sorcery with interstellar diplomacy. Gege Akutami provided the story, while Yuji Iwasaki handled the artwork, delivering a compact yet ambitious spin-off that expanded the franchise's lore in unexpected ways.

The series launched on September 8, 2025, in Weekly Shōnen Jump issue 41 as a planned short-term serialization. From the start, it was designed to wrap up swiftly, avoiding the sprawling scope of the main series. The manga has now been collected into three tankōbon volumes by Shueisha: the first arrived on January 5, 2026, the second on March 4, 2026, and the third—and final—volume is slated for May 1, 2026. This tidy three-volume format allowed the creators to focus on a self-contained narrative arc without overstaying its welcome.

The story introduced a near-future world where jujutsu sorcery had evolved amid shifting global realities. New generations of sorcerers navigated complex alliances and threats, including the sudden arrival of extraterrestrial beings whose powers echoed cursed techniques. The series maintained the signature intensity of supernatural battles while exploring themes of coexistence and legacy.

What is Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo about?

Set in 2086, 68 years after the events of the Culling Game arc in the main series, the spin-off shifts to a dramatically changed Earth. Descendants of familiar characters, including grandchildren of Yuta Okkotsu, take center stage as young sorcerers facing unprecedented challenges. The plot ignites with the arrival of an alien species called the Simurians, who land in a colossal spaceship seeking refuge on Earth. Their presence sparks tension and potential cooperation with humanity's remaining jujutsu users, as the visitors' abilities strikingly resemble cursed techniques. The narrative weaves together action, negotiation, and the persistent struggle against curses, bridging the established world with bold new frontiers.
