A new isekai anime is coming fans’ way! Kaoru’s potion-creating skill and healing power in I Shall Survive Using Potions! will soon be seen on the small screens. To hype up its release, the anime has dropped a new trailer featuring the young protagonist ready to fight, along with its opening theme.
Based on the Japanese light novel of the same name by FUNA, the series originated on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website before it was published in print with illustrations by Sukima in Kodansha in 2017. I Shall Survive Using Potions! was then adapted into a manga, illustrated by Hibiki Kokonoe, and an anime by Jumondou.
The anime’s official website has dropped a new trailer for the upcoming series. The preview introduces the new characters fans are about to meet, beginning with Count Adan, Mr. Abilly, Mr. Roland, France, Set, and Kaoru. “In this time of conspiracy, we will use our abilities to live a safe and secure life in another world,” Kaoru declares.
But before they can do that, they must make money to fund their plan. Kaoru then pitches her idea to the goddess, Celestine. Sadly, things won’t be easy for her, and many contradict her beliefs. Determined about what she plans to do, Kaoru continues her ideas and provides people with potions. But as her mixtures affect the nation’s balance, she’s seen ready to fight while the opening theme, tailwind by Katagiri, plays in the background.

What is I Shall Survive Using Potions! about?
I Shall Survive Using Potions! follows the story of Kaoru, who dies after a dimensional energy rift between worlds. Thankfully, the one who watches over Earth saves her mind and soul and gives her a new life in Reverie, run by the goddess Celestine. She then demands the power to create potions, among other skills she could have. But if there’s one thing she wants, it’s to be friends with Celestine to avoid loneliness.

One day, the supervisor in charge of watching over Earth was taking care of distortion when they made a mistake that caused Kaoru Nagase to lose her physical body. Not only that but reincarnating her into a different, less culturally advanced world is the only thing they can offer to do for her. Not one to take this turn of events sitting down, Kaoru makes a demand: the power to create potions at any time she pleases, with whatever effect she wants it to have—and it doesn't stop there either. She asks for a magical Item Box, the ability to understand and speak every language, and the same body she had back when she was a fifteen-year-old girl. Using her newfound powers, Kaoru has to try and make a stable life for herself in a whole new world!
When will I Shall Survive Using Potions! be released?
I Shall Survive Using Potions! will be officially released on October 7 on ABC TV/TV Asahi and other major networks in Japan. It can also be seen on BS Fuji on October 13 and AT-X on October 9. Alternatively, it can be streamed on ABEMA, though its international release is yet to be revealed.
With its eye-catching animation and interesting story, I Shall Survive Using Potions! has the potential to be a new fan favorite. Hopefully, the series won’t upset fans when it finally releases.
