After releasing the latest preview stills, Netflix has dropped a new trailer for Gyeongseong Creature Part 2. The first part hinted at Lady Maeda’s (Claudia Kim) connection to Yoon Chae-ok’s (Han So-hee) mother, Choi Seong-sim (Kang Mal-geum), after Director Ichiro (Hyun Bong-sik) showed her the profile of the woman who turned into a monster. Now, the new preview teases the revelation of Lady Maeda’s secret as she finally meets Seong-sim and calls her “Teacher Seishin.”
The Gyeongseong Creature Part 2 trailer begins with Myeong-ja (Ji Woo) talking to Maeda, who tells her she has arranged her meeting with Ichiro at Ongseong Hospital. The latter tells her husband’s mistress that her unborn child will “hold a very special meaning” to Commissioner Ishikawa (Kim Do-hyun) and her as Myeong-ja gets accompanied by a nurse.
As Lady Maeda asks Myeong-ja to care for herself, she gets abducted by a group of doctors and forced to go inside a cell. The next scene shows a mysterious woman who attacks a man as Ishikawa wakes up without Myeong-ja by his side. From there, Maeda arrives at the hospital, and Ichiro introduces her to Colonel Kato (Choi Yuong-joon) to see the monstrous creature they’re hiding.
As Maeda gets near the monster, Kato advises her not to get too close. “Seishin,” she says, waking up the creature. “So, you were still alive, teacher Seishin.” The beast tries to attack Maeda but stops midway, seemingly recognizing the woman.
What to Expect from Gyeongseong Creature Part 2

The first part ended with a major cliffhanger. Another monster would be unveiled after someone had drunk from the cup with the Najin parasite that Kato left in his office when Chae-ok refused to take it. The finale showed the parasite was going to Myeong-ja’s brain, hinting that she would be the next monster.
As Myeong-ja is now in the province, the threat she’s about to bring will be more massive than the monster in Onseong Hospital. The last three episodes are also expected to reveal the future of Jang Tae-sang (Park Seo-joon) after facing the army to let Chae-ok and the rest of the freed prisoners escape.
In addition, Chae-ok may also return to the hospital to save her mother. If this happens and Seong-sim manages to flee, she may face Myeong-ja, resulting in a battle between the two monsters.
The official synopsis of GyeongSeong Creature reads:
1945, Gyeongseong South Korea. Jang Tae-Sang is a rich man. He is known as the most attractive man around Bukchon in Gyeongseong. He is also a reliable source for information in the area. His talents, including the ability to respond quickly to situations, keen insight and his sociability, have led him to his current position. When he comes into contact with Yoon Chae-Ok, he has to reevaluate his priorities as a person.
Gyeongseong Creature Part 2 is set to be released on Netflix on Friday, January 5. As the series is about to come to an end, fans are looking forward to seeing a romantic conclusion between So-hee and Seo-joon.
