Even though Rockstar Games has made it their mission to keep the game under wraps, the hype around the upcoming GTA 6 game just keeps increasing. Owing to the reputable leakers and insiders who have been leaking and revealing bits of information regarding the game, we now have an idea of what to expect from the Grand Theft Auto game. However, it looks like players might just receive an official announcement of the game in the upcoming months.
Many reports suggest that there’s a high chance the developers might announce GTA 6 later this year. Since GTA 5 and Online’s 10th anniversary is right around the corner, Rockstar Games might just use this opportunity to announce their latest Grand Theft Auto 6 game along with its release date.
Last year, a huge amount of GTA 6 leaks went online which were later removed by Rockstar Games and its parent company, Take-Two Interactive. However, the leaks did provide players with somewhat of an official look at the game’s title, and they can’t wait for Rockstar Games to officially announce the game and release some information regarding it.
The reputable leaker @GTAVInewz recently leaked that GTA 6 will officially be announced sometime in September or October 2023. A popular and reputable GTA insider named Tez2 also hinted at this particular timeframe at the beginning of 2023. The insider suggested that Rockstar Games has the option to use GTA 5 and Online’s 10th Anniversary to announce GTA 6, most likely through an epic in-game event.
On top of this, Take-Two Interactive also announced during their earnings call in May and August 2023 their huge financial expectations for their upcoming Fiscal Year 2025 (FY25). Since the fiscal year comprises mostly of the months of 2024 and a couple of initial months of 2025, there is a huge chance that the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6 game might release in 2024. If that turns out to be true, then fans can expect an announcement from Rockstar Games in the next few months. After that, they will continue with the game’s release for promotions and marketing.
Lately, multiple reports have also been suggesting that Grand Theft Auto 6’s budget might be around one billion dollars or more. So, a huge amount of this money could be used for the development of exciting elements in the game, such as the rumored right and left-hand swap feature. However, none of this has been officially confirmed yet by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive, so this news should not be taken seriously.
