Rockstar Games' highly-anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI may bring back a feature that hasn't been seen since Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (2014) or, in other words, not seen by GTA fans in 20 years as the said feature was not included in Grand Theft Auto IV or Grand Theft Auto V. The new rumor comes from a popular YouTuber, LegacyKillaHD, who recently shared GTA 6 details he has heard over the course of GTA 6's development at Rockstar Games.

"Think I'm about done reporting GTA 6 stuff on here that I've heard or providing insight," @LegacyKillaHD tweeted on X (formerly Twitter). "One game I wish I didnt know so much about," he said before sharing what he heard. According to LegacyKillaHD, there has been an entire team dedicated to one specific mini-game in GTA 6, and that mini-game is basketball.

"Basketball minigame was worked on at the Toronto studio. It was on the chopping block at the end of 2023. Always the difficulty talking about a game active in development," he said.

Unfortunately, based on what the YouTuber said, it sounds like the basketball mini-game might not make it to the final version of the game. While a dedicated team at Rockstar Toronto worked on the mode, it was reportedly on the chopping block as of the end of last year, suggesting Rockstar may not be satisfied with its quality. "Devs thinking vs knowing is a big difference," he added.

Additionally, LegacyKillaHD also said that the main story of GTA 6 will be "shorter than Red Dead 2" and will include "the usual insanity in missions" with some supposedly being inspired by the Fast & Furious films. The YouTuber went on to say that the game will have a "lot more RDR2 gameplay in this than I think some expect."

The latest info drop from LegacyKillaHD is just one of the many GTA 6 rumors shared in recent years. The game has been plagued with leaks about the highly-anticipated next installment of the popular videogame franchise. Various leakers also shared details about the game's map, which is set in the state of the Florida-inspired Leonida and its Vice City (Miami). We've previously reported about the other features that will reportedly be included in GTA 6, but Rockstar hasn't officially confirmed any of these rumors.
