Lately, GTA 6 has become a hot topic in the gaming world, with Grand Theft Auto fanatics jumping on any piece of news regarding the game. Once again, a rumor has been flying around about the release of GTA 6, which is that Rockstar Games will reportedly release the game with the PlayStation 5 Pro console in 2024.

As per a leak by a Twitter fan account called “GTA 6 News,” the game will release in 2024 with much improved graphical performances. Even though neither Rockstar Games nor Sony has released any official information about their respective projects, the gaming community is busy these days discussing the upcoming console version and title.

There have been many reports, one of them being Key to Gaming, claiming that PlayStation 5 Pro is set to release in November 2024, and several more news claiming that GTA 6 will launch in the same year. According to Insider Gaming, Take-Two's (Rockstar Games' parent company) annual investor call and financial update, some comments were made suggesting the release of GTA 6 in 2024. Due to this, many fans believe that both Rockstar Games and Sony will collaborate and launch their products at the same time. However, many fans believe that it’s not a possibility and the game won't release before 2025 or 2026.

In addition, GTA 6 News recently shared a post on Twitter revealing the leak and claiming that the next Grand Theft Auto game will reportedly launch next year. It also stated that the game would add a 4K resolution with a 60-frames-per-second gameplay option on the upcoming PlayStation 5 Pro console.

Players should also keep in mind that Rockstar Games already offers an upscaled 4K resolution with 60 frames per second on the GTA 5 Expanded and Enhanced version. Despite this, players are required to adjust the game’s settings to Performance Mode in order to get this desired outcome.

Fans’ reaction to the GTA 6 release news

In response to this exciting news, several fans are rejecting the possibility of the next Grand Theft Auto game having 8K support. One Twitter user commented, “dog just making up news,” whereas a second fan stated, “We don't even have a reveal trailer of GTA 6 and you are claiming its launching next year with PS5 pro. That's some wishful thinking. I expect a 2025/2026 release date. Lol maybe when PS6 arrives.” A third one also decided to join the comment section, saying, “Next year? Nope not buying that it sounds to good to be true I say 2025.”

However, fans should not take this news seriously since it is just a rumor, and no official statement has been released regarding it from either Rockstar Games or Sony.
