At the beginning of November, Rockstar Games officially confirmed that the Grand Theft Auto 6 reveal trailer will arrive in early December, but didn’t share an exact date. They finally spoke up after feigning complete silence since last year when they announced the game was in development. So, without any other place to get information on GTA 6, fans had to rely on leaks and rumors.
Over the past couple of months, we’ve gotten well-acquainted with many popular leakers and insiders, who have been giving fans an idea as to what they can expect from GTA 6. One of these reputable insiders is Tez2 who recently narrowed down the release date of the first-ever trailer of the much-anticipated GTA game.
It was this particular insider who initially claimed that a trailer for GTA 6 was going to be released this year, which ended up coming true. Now, he has surfaced with another piece of information, and fans are all for it! On his X (formerly Twitter), Tez2 claimed that a brand-new GTA Online event goes on for two weeks, and will be ending on December 12, Tuesday.
On top of this, they highlighted that before the Red Dead Redemption 2 reveal, Rockstar Games skipped an entire week in order to make the reveal trailer the center of attention. This means that since the end of next week is most probably reserved for the above-mentioned GTA Online DLC, fans can expect the GTA 6 trailer to come out either tomorrow, i.e., December 1, Friday, during the weekend, or Tuesday at most.
Unfortunately, Tez2 didn’t mention if Rockstar plans on releasing a teaser first before the game’s reveal trailer or not. Their tweet reads:

Prior to the Red Dead Redemption 2 reveal, Rockstar skipped a week to have the trailer on spotlight End of next week is likely reserved for GTA Online DLC. So we can expect the GTA 6 trailer either on Friday, during the weekend or on Tuesday at most.
However, since this information hasn’t been officially confirmed by Rockstar Games yet and is purely speculation at this point, one should not take it seriously. It seems quite unlikely for GTA 6’s reveal trailer to drop tomorrow December 1, but a reveal over the weekend or next weekend does seem like a possibility, especially considering how Rockstar previously handled the Red Dead Redemption 2 reveal.
When might GTA 6 come out?
Unfortunately, we still have no official word on the release date of Grand Theft Auto 6, but many fans believe that the trailer might provide a release window at the least. However, many leaks and rumors suggest the game will reportedly be released sometime in 2025.
The same GTA insider, Tez2, also previously claimed that “several devs expect the release window in 2025.” So, there’s a chance that Rockstar Games might have scheduled GTA 6 to be released in 2025. However, we can’t say for sure since these are all mere rumors and speculations, but we sure hope the trailer provides a hint regarding the game’s release!
