Sony has introduced a new “It Happens On PS5” ad campaign that places several major upcoming titles front and center, among them Grand Theft Auto VI. The one-minute video relies exclusively on snippets of old footage rather than any previously unseen material from the open-world game. Even familiar sequences can reveal small presentation differences when they reappear in a new context, and the latest promotional clip contains a few such moments worth noting in closer detail.
Lucia’s face shows a few minor differences in the updated footage. Her eyebrows register as less pronounced than in earlier trailers, and her hair color comes across as slightly browner overall. These changes may simply result from the different lighting and color grading applied to the scene for the commercial itself.
X user DriftRespawn observed that the letterboxing has been removed from a sequence in which Jason Duval hangs onto the back of a convertible while Lucia drives. That same moment first appeared in GTA 6 Trailer 2 from May 2025, framed by black horizontal bars at the top and bottom of the image. The “It Happens On PS5” version presents the action in full screen without those bars, giving the shot a wider and more immediate appearance on screen.
Video games continue to evolve throughout development, so these small visual adjustments could simply form part of the ongoing process for GTA 6. Additional refinements of a similar scale should not come as a surprise when the GTA 6 “Extended Look” trailer reaches Netflix on August 27. Teams routinely update models, lighting, and framing as production moves forward, and public trailers often capture intermediate versions of the same scenes before final polish is complete.
The PS5 advertisement does not limit itself to a single title. Brief sequences from God of War Laufey and Marvel’s Wolverine appear alongside the GTA 6 material, placing Rockstar’s open-world release in the company of other high-profile projects highlighted in the campaign. Each game receives only limited screen time, yet the shared showcase underscores the range of experiences the platform is currently promoting to players.
GTA 6: An Extended Look is set to premiere on Netflix on August 27, offering a longer stretch of footage ahead of the full release. GTA 6 itself launches on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, bringing the next mainline entry in the series to consoles after years of anticipation and careful preparation.
