It’s been a decade since fans have been waiting to hear anything about the release of GTA 6. A lot of patience and many, many leaks later, the game is finally officially confirmed and coming. If you are one of those fans who have been keeping an eye on all GTA 6-related news lately, then you know how difficult the wait has been.
Every day, there was a new leak or someone new claiming they knew the magic date when GTA 6 would be announced. August was an especially hyped month for this since all past actions of Rockstar Games hinted towards the developers giving us an August announcement, but that didn’t happen either.
After all this, it really looked like there was no hope till it finally happened. In an official tweet, Rockstar Games’ President, Sam Houser, announced that the first trailer for GTA 6 will be released in early December.
GTA 6 Official Announcement Makes Fans Go Crazy On X
As soon as Rockstar Games announced the game on X, fan reactions started rolling in, and they were very excited, to say the least. A user called HYPEX, who usually posts about Fortnite leaks, tweeted that they had to check three times whether it was the official Rockstar Games account or not.
This is probably because they found the news so unbelievable that it was more likely that this was another account pretending to be Rockstar Games. Another tweet made a joke that GTA 6 actually came in their lifetime. This is a reference to a long-standing joke that GTA 6 would come out for the next generations of players.
Some fans also took to posting AI pictures to make jokes about how Sam Houser must have felt after making such a big announcement.
Even the official PlayStation UK account replied to the tweet with the “here we go again” gif.
Anyways, the reactions of all fans were more or less the same: excitement, disbelief, and hype.
GTA 6’s Plot
While Rockstar Games has spoken up about officially revealing the trailer of GTA 6, they haven’t yet disclosed any details regarding its storyline. According to the leaks, it seems like the Bonnie and Clyde duo are going to commit multiple robberies all over Vice City, Rockstar's fictionalized version of Miami. but unfortunately, that’s all we’re aware of.
Multiple leaks also suggest that the upcoming game might adopt the much more refined mechanics of Red Dead Redemption 2, making the characters carry guns they can physically carry on their bodies as compared to the invisible pockets featured in the previous GTA games. From the looks of it, many fans believe Grand Theft Auto 6 might just be Rockstar’s best game yet and is set to reach peak record sales.
