Rockstar Games still hasn't revealed anything about Grand Theft Auto 6, which is presumably still being development and it's not expected to release in 2023. This shouldn't surprise fans considering the ambitious scale of the open-world game. Regardless, the developer's radio silence on GTA 6 is leaving fans impatient, and the lack of official information has made the gaming community digging for details from leaks and rumors.
This is what happened when a Rockstar India developer seemingly leaked details on GTA 6, in a since deleted LinkedIn post that claimed they'd developed a number of assets used in the game, but not before the Internet got captured it. According to the leaked details, it looks like GTA 6 is bringing back a weapon players haven't seen in a mainline Grand Theft Auto game since 2004's GTA: San Andreas, or in other words, something that was not featured in GTA 4 or GTA 5.
"Completed 500 plus in game 2D assets for GTA VI, comprising of 25 plus unique brands to GTA VI," read the former Rockstar 2D/UI designer's LinkedIn page. "Interior Prop Labels – labels on items like – Fire Extinguisher, Chainsaw, Electric Board, Boat motor, [and] Car engine."
The leak implies that the chainsaw, a popular weapon featured in past GTA games like GTA: San Andreas and GTA: Vice City, is making a return in GTA 6, which should hype up fans.

At the time of this article's publication, Rockstar Games hasn't commented on the leak nor officially confirmed if the chainsaw will return in GTA 6, but this does line up well with other rumors surrounding the game, such as the alleged main location of the game, Vice City. It's likely that GTA 6 will bring back a lot of the popular features from previous GTA games while introducing new ones.
Rockstar hasn't announced an official release date for GTA 6 yet, but when it releases, it will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
